Adam Kimmel SS12
For SS12 Adam Kimmel channelled more extreme sport stylings through casual attire that danced with tailoring. Outerwear was a selection of banded utility jackets, a funnel neck rain mac and windbreakers. A camouflage like print reminiscent of cardiac monitor waves drifted across casual blazers, tracksuit-esque zip-ups and a multi pocket jacket. A motorcycle bomber in an Eastern European vein in red, blue and black brought leather into the mix.
There were billowing interpretations of sergeant pants as these formerly regimented linear trousers were given volume. Slacks and leisurewear pants were rolled up and the workman’s jumpsuit took on a nautical note. Speckled wool t-shirts were followed by a graphic psychedelic print tee which hypnotised. Layering was also important to Kimmel’s SS12 looks as triple top layers were preferred. Footwear was optional as going barefoot was favoured but athletic style loafers and eyelet boots were offered for those who prefer to keep their feet under wraps.
