OMAR KASHOURA – LONDON COLLECTIONS MEN SS13/ 17.06.12

American poet and Beat movement pioneer Allen Ginsberg’s unconventional style was reinvigorated for Omar Kashoura’s SS13 collection, which displayed an undeniably beatnik vibe. Ruggedly academic, models swept the runway with hands thrust in pockets whilst sporting a good deal of facial hair.

 

Citing the Black Rock Desert of North Nevada as a point of focus, Kashoura’s colour scheme perfectly encapsulated the dusty orange of the fiery landscape, while touches of deep blue seemed reflective of the ethereal minerals which pepper the rocks of this paleogeological phenomena.

 

Signature Kashoura elements remained with just the right injection of navy tailoring, while a blue digital graphic updated casual cool white shirts. Orange was a predominant hue, utilized through strong knitwear and shirts, and then more delicately introduced through the soft check of blazers and outerwear. Culminating the collection, a classic suit in a sandy hue perfectly exemplified Kashoura’s eye for quality finish.
