JEWELLERY DESIGNER – KASIA PIECHOCKA/ 20.10.11

Kasia Piechocka is a fresh graduated Jewellery designer from Central St Martins. According to her Fine Art background, Kasia’s inspiration always comes from architecture and people. Her latest collection is a combination of sharp, edgy, wearable elements . Named as “The Man who Loved Fishing”, Kasia’s collection is about her dad and the memory of them together. They always went fishing when she was a child and Kasia was always fascinated by the shapes of the fishing equipment of her dad. Besides making a twist to the hooks to create the collection, Kasia also applied fish heads and lead sinkers into her collection. The necklace in fish bone shape is the iconic piece for me in the collection.

 

Kasia is now preparing her next collection and collecting stories about “the people who inspire you”. She is going to pick one story as her inspiration of the coming collection and give an exclusive piece from the collection to the story owner.
